Job summary

S&S Activewear is seeking a Machine Operator for our Fort Worth distribution center. The role involves retrieving inventory from floor and up-stock locations, operating forklifts and other material handling gear, and ensuring accurate stocking and shipping.

This is a 90-day seasonal assignment from the hire date. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, full-time, non-exempt, onsite in Fort Worth, TX.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to operate a warehouse equipment and machinery.
• Must be comfortable using electronic devices.
• Can lift and carry up to 50lbs on occasion with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment needed to perform primary role (Forklift, Cherry Picker, Reach Truck, Stock Chaser, Pallet jack, Scanners, Tablets, and WMS).
• Perform and complete daily safety inspection check list for all equipment used.
• Maintain productivity minimum requirements and work with a sense of urgency.
• Retrieve inventory from up-stock and floor locations and deliver to designated areas.
• Operate barcode scanner and use warehouse software.
• Act professionally and remain focused while working.
• Safely operate all warehouse equipment.
• Follow directions of leadership.
• Perform cleaning activities as required.
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

About The Role

The Machine Operator will be responsible for retrieving inventory from both floor locations and up-stock storage for Product Transfers and deliver to the designated area for stocking or shipment. The Restock Driver is required to operate machinery following all safety rules and regulations.

NOTE: As a seasonal hire you have a defined employment time period of 90 days from date of hire.

What You Will Do

What We're Looking For

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

In performing this job, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling of items with hands and arms, up to 50 lbs. Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjusting focus and hearing.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool.
• The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise.
• Employee must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines.
• Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels.
