Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler II to move products through the facility from receipt to shipment. You will load/unload trucks, stage pallets, and prepare docks while operating a Forklift, Pallet Jack, and RF Scanner.

You will verify material quantities, maintain shipping data, and ensure accuracy of bills of lading. The role requires safe operation of equipment and adherence to Six Sigma standards on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with one year of relevant work experience required.
• Three years in a distribution or manufacturing facility preferred.
• Must read/write/speak basic English.
• Knowledge updating data in warehouse management systems and vendor websites (UPS, FedEx, Home Depot, etc.).
• Experience with IMI Series (AS400) and Boss preferred.
• Must operate a Class II Order Picker, Stand-Up Forklift, RF Scanner, and Pallet Jack.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently with others.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Move products throughout the building from receipt to shipment based on business needs.
• Load trucks with outgoing products using Forklift or Pallet Jack.
• Unload incoming materials and move to storage locations.
• Sort, stage, palletize, and wrap pallets for shipment.
• Verify quantities and quality of material; ensure bills of lading are correct.
• Maintain warehouse data in management systems for shipping/receiving.
• Deliver materials to packaging areas, scanning order tickets and moving materials.
• Prepare docks for shipping and inspect trailers.
• Replenish stock and pick large quantity orders using RF Scanner and equipment.
• Observe safety guidelines and follow Six Sigma lean practices.
• Perform daily safety inspections of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
