Job summary

Scheels is seeking a Warehouse Logistics team member for the First Shift in Appleton, WI. This role supports backroom organization, fixture storage, and freight coordination, helping store teams with loading and unloading. Expect 15–25 hours per week, 7am–3pm, Monday through Friday, in a fast-paced retail warehouse setting.

We value teamwork and accuracy, with emphasis on customer-ready service and ownership of tasks. Prior warehouse or retail exposure is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1–3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift and move items as part of warehouse duties.
  • Very heavy work – lifting up to 100+ pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist associates by organizing, managing, and cleaning backroom spaces and fixture storage areas.
  • Coordinate with the receiving team to maintain organization in freight areas and drop zones.
  • Plan for large seasonal shipments while maintaining year-round freight flow.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist associates by organizing, managing, and cleaning backroom spaces and fixture storage areas.
  • Organize, communicate, and coordinate scheduling effectively with all levels within the organization before transporting freight/fixtures to the various departments/off-site warehouse
  • Coordinate with the receiving team to maintain a high level of organization in the freight room and drop zone
  • Plan for a large seasonal shipment in addition to maintaining the flow of freight all year
  • Assist customers and salespeople with retrieving and loading purchased products
  • Maintain orderly appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas, including off-site warehouses
  • Be knowledgeable of all equipment and tools, and how to use them properly
  • Assist in the removal of snow and debris from walkways, rooftops, and landscaping around the building
  • Update warehouse inventory
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills. Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively and promptly
  • Ability to work with a team. Able to fill in or help out to cover absences in the area (including but not limited to: going on deliveries, helping with product builds / set-ups, filling in for Merchandisers as needed, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned by the leadership team

Scheduling Requirements:

An ideal candidate will be able to work 15-25 hours a week over the course of 3 days (Monday- Friday), between the hours of 7am-3pm.

Education & Experience:

An ideal candidate will have a minimum of a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED), one to three months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Very heavy work – Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
