Job summary

N.B. Handy Company is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Garner, NC to direct material handlers, drivers, and warehouse workers across safety, shipping, receiving, and inventory control. The role includes hands-on duties and ensuring efficient operation.

Responsibilities include scheduling, team development, inventory accuracy, and coordinating transfers while maintaining a safe, productive environment. Forklift certification is required, and OSHA safety standards must be observed.

Qualifications

• Some college preferred with 2–3 years warehouse management experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Forklift certification required; ability to complete forklift safety training.

Responsibilities

• Plans pickup and delivery schedules for truck drivers.
• Assist Branch Manager in recruiting, hiring, promoting, training, and evaluating branch operations personnel.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with branch manager, sales, and purchasing support staff.
• Oversee shipment and receiving processes to ensure accuracy and proper placement of products.
• Direct and oversee receiving, forecasting and inventory adjustments; manage receiving paperwork and data entry.
• Operate and supervise order picking, palletizing, staging, loading/unloading with forklifts; utilize WMS RF devices.
• Prepare shipments (UPS/LTL) and input data into World Ship and Cerasis.
• Establish staffing schedules with Branch Manager and coordinate inter-company transfers.
