Job summary

AJM Packaging Corporation is seeking Warehouse & Logistics Interns for our Vineland, NJ facility. This hands-on program offers exposure to shipping/receiving, inventory management, and day-to-day logistics within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will shadow staff, support production with warehousing tasks, and participate in special projects to sharpen both operations and analytical skills. Travel to Michigan is required for opening and closing presentations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and move between stations as needed.
• Ability to travel to Michigan for opening/closing internship presentations as required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform logistics, warehouse, and inventory functions to support production.
• Participate in a hands-on, project-based program for shipping/receiving and inventory management software.
• Shadow colleagues and handle tasks from production line work to scheduling as directed.
• Collaborate with the logistics team on daily needs and special projects.
• Take ownership of special projects assigned by warehouse and plant managers.

Job description

AJM Packaging Corporation, one of America’s leading manufacturers of paper products, including paper plates, cups, bowls, and bags, is looking to add a Warehouse & Logistics Interns to our Team in Vineland, NJ. This is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in working in various aspects of operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities & Duties –

• In a direct, hands-on capacity, be able to learn, perform and understand all functions involved logistics, warehouse, and inventory required to support needs of production facility.
• Participate in a “hands on,” project-based program to gain experience and knowledge shipping/receiving operations as well as our inventory management software.
• Participation will require everything from “shadowing” other employees to working specific jobs that can range production line work, to machine maintenance to scheduling and more.
• Working directly with logistics team on daily needs required.
• Take ownership of special projects, as directed by warehouse manager and plant manager onsite.

Salary Range: $19-$22 per hour

Minimum Requirements –

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in: Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field from an accredited University
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where at times you will be on your feet most of the day in the facility that is not a fully climate-controlled environment.
• Available to travel to Michigan twice for 2-3 days for each the opening & closing presentations of internship.
