Position Overview –

AJM Packaging Corporation, one of America’s leading manufacturers of paper products, including paper plates, cups, bowls, and bags, is looking to add Engineering Interns to our Team in El Cajon, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in working in various aspects of operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities & Duties –

• In a direct, hands-on capacity, be able to learn, perform and understand all functions involved in the engineering operation of a manufacturing facility.
• Participate in a “hands on,” project-based program to gain experience and knowledge of our machine rebuild and project engineering operations.
• Participation will require everything from “shadowing” other employees to working specific jobs that can range production line work, to machine maintenance to scheduling and more.
• Working directly with machinery and process improvement.
• Performance evaluation and improvement on full mechanic machines.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, etc.)
• Review and implement GMP/ ISO9001/ Safety process and procedures.

Salary -

$19-22 an hour

Minimum Requirements –

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an accredited University
