Job summary

NEFCO is seeking a Warehouse Associate to maintain organized inventory and prepare orders for shipping to customers and branch locations. Reporting to the shift Warehouse Lead or Logistics Manager, you will execute receiving, staging, picking with RF technology, and packing according to NEFCO procedures.

You will stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, operate forklifts, and perform cycle counts while maintaining safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to use NEFCO's ERP software system.
• Ability to use warehouse layouts for planning purposes.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook a plus.
• Basic computer skills
• Must have a positive, hard-working attitude
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently and little supervision
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to stands on concrete floor for long periods of time
• Must be able to work in various climate conditions such as cold, heat, humidity for a long period of time
• Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl and twist for lifting
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to review and interpret computer images and written documents
• Analytical ability including basic math skills
• HS diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Provide general assistance, including pulling and staging orders.
• Perform bin location maintenance.
• Ensure safety, organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
• Assist in cycle counting to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Attend safety trainings and meetings; follow rules and regulations.
• Perform forklift inspections and reports; operate forklift.
• Communicate with management and branch personnel.
• May perform Receiving and Shipping functions: verify inventory against POs, receive into ERP, stage/shelve inventory, use RF tech to pick orders, pack goods, and load trucks in sequence.
