Job summary

Fitz's Fish Ponds in New Milford, NJ is seeking a Warehouse Logistics Associate to ensure efficient inventory flow across receiving, storage, and shipping. You will verify inbound shipments, record inventory, pick and pack orders, and coordinate with freight carriers in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in warehouse/shipping, proficiency with inventory software (Odoo is a plus), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 30–60 lbs. Weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in warehouse, shipping & receiving, inventory control, logistics, or distribution experience preferred.
• Experience with inventory management or ERP software; Odoo experience is a plus.
• Experience coordinating inbound and outbound shipments with freight carriers and parcel shipping providers is preferred.
• Strong computer skills and comfortable learning new software systems.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Available for varied weekly shifts, including weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips to ensure accuracy and report any discrepancies
• Accurately receive inventory into our inventory management system and maintain organized warehouse records
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer, retail, and internal transfer orders for shipment while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Coordinate outbound shipments with freight carriers, parcel services, and other transportation providers to ensure timely deliveries
• Schedule freight pickups and communicate with shipping vendors regarding deliveries, tracking information, and shipment issues
• Maintain accurate inventory counts through routine cycle counts and assist with inventory audits
• Organize warehouse inventory to maximize efficiency, accessibility, and safety
• Utilize company software to process inventory transactions and shipment documentation
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries safely using proper equipment and procedures
• Work closely with purchasing, retail, service, and operations teams to ensure inventory availability and order accuracy
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with company standards
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and operational efficiency
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Ability to lift between 30-60 lbs, including bending, lifting, carrying, and moving inventory throughout the warehouse
• Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus
• Demonstrated record of punctuality, reliability, and professionalism
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with ponds, aquariums, aquatic products, or fish is a plus
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record - Required
• Available for varied weekly shifts, including weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods - Required

Salary

• Full-Time | $20.00 - $24.00/ hour *depending on experience*
