Job summary

STAUFFER GLOVE & SAFETY is seeking a Warehouse Associate & Driver to perform local route deliveries and support shipping, receiving, and order picking in our Michigan City distribution center. This role requires operating forklifts and pallet jacks, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring on-time shipments.

The position emphasizes strong customer service, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and adherence to company policies. Overtime and shifts vary by branch location.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School degree or GED.
• 1+ year experience with shipping/receiving processes and timely shipments/receiving.
• Experience operating forklift equipment, pallet jacks and company vehicle.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Prefer 2+ years’ experience in large distribution inventory environments.
• Knowledge or experience working with a warehouse management system.

Responsibilities

• Drive box truck on local routes when needed.
• Support all functions of shipping, receiving and picking order tasks.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and on-time shipping with minimal errors.
• Assist drivers with pulling orders and planning local deliveries.
• Receive truck and small carrier shipments and put away products.
