Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) is seeking a warehouse associate to safely load trucks with products, verify quantities, and operate power equipment. You will load in delivery sequence, secure loads with load bars, and relay finished load sheets to the dispatcher and driver.

Starting hourly rate is $22.25 with weekend incentives. Schedule begins 11:30 AM and continues until work is done, with five days including weekends and mandatory overtime.

• Warehouse/Operations experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspects assigned jack for safety issues.
• Loads trucks in sequence based on delivery schedule and routing using at least 5 load bars per route to ensure a secure delivery.
• Distributes finished load sheets to the inside of the trailer, to the dispatcher, and to the driver.
• Removes debris and empty pallets from the dock upon completion of loading.
• Reports any discrepancies in pallet counts, missing repack or unsound pallets to the lead, supervisor, or manager.
• Performs duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies and procedures, as appropriate for location.
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Job Overview: Responsible for loading trucks with products safely and efficiently. Ensures correct product and quantity are loaded on the accurate trailer. Operates power equipment safely.

Schedule: Start time 11:30AM – until the work is done. Candidate must be able to work our 5 days including weekends + mandatory overtime schedule, we’re fully operational Sunday-Saturday. Schedule depends on business needs. Candidates who are applying to any of our full-time roles must be flexible to work any day during the week to be considered.

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
