Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Loader responsible for safely loading trucks and ensuring correct product and quantity on each trailer. Operates power equipment safely and adheres to HACCP/SQF policies as required.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and flexibility to work a schedule that includes weekends and overtime. Starting pay is $22.25 per hour plus weekend incentives, with full benefits and paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assigned jack for safety issues.
• Load trucks in sequence based on delivery schedule using load bars.
• Distribute finished load sheets to dispatcher and driver.
• Remove debris and empty pallets from the dock after loading.
• Report discrepancies in pallet counts or damaged pallets to supervisor.
• Comply with HACCP and SQF policies where applicable.
• Exercise good judgment when supervision is limited.

Job Overview: Responsible for loading trucks with products safely and efficiently. Ensures correct product and quantity are loaded on the accurate trailer. Operates power equipment safely.

Starting Hourly Rate: $22.25 + weekend incentives

Schedule: Start time 11:30AM - until the work is done. Candidate must be able to work our 5 days including weekends + mandatory overtime schedule, we’re fully operational Sunday-Saturday. Schedule depends on business needs. Candidates who are applying to any of our full-time roles must be flexible to work any day during the week to be considered.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Inspects assigned jack for safety issues.

• Loads trucks in sequence based on delivery schedule and routing using at least 5 load bars per route to ensure a secure delivery.

• Distributes finished load sheets to the inside of the trailer, to the dispatcher, and to the driver.

• Removes debris and empty pallets from the dock upon completion of loading.

• Reports any discrepancies in pallet counts, missing repack or unsound pallets to the lead, supervisor, or manager.

• Performs duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location.

• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
