Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3 months or more related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to perform basic math in all units of measure.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and obtain certification to operate power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in material.
• Read orders to determine items to be moved or shipped.
• Move materials from receiving/storage to shipping or other areas.
• Load trucks safely so products arrive in good condition.
• Sort materials according to size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for staff and customers.
• Assemble customer orders and prepare pallets or shelves.
• Mark materials with identifying information and track inventory.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Wear required safety equipment and follow procedures.
• Additional duties as assigned.
