Job summary

ofi North America (Olam Food Ingredients) is seeking a Warehouse Lift Truck Operator in Gilroy, CA. You will perform pre-shift inspections, operate lift trucks, and move pallets to support receiving, put away, picking, and shipping processes.

You will use RF scanners for inventory traceability, follow LTO training requirements, and work various shifts with overtime as needed. The role is non-exempt and paid at $31.19 per hour, reflecting local pay scales and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand English instructions.
• Basic math and paperwork literacy.
• Experience with scanners or RF devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document and perform pre-shift inspection of lift truck.
• Work in all warehouse areas: receiving, put away, picking, vendor deliveries, and loading/unloading trailers.
• Move pallets and drums safely to assigned locations; transport materials as required.
• Use RF scanners for product assignments and traceability.
• Follow LTO training program stacking requirements and safety rules.
• May sort drums/totes and assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Position Responsibilities

• Accurately document and perform pre-shift inspection of lift truck.
• Work all areas of the warehouse which include receiving, put away, picking, vendor deliveries, loading/unloading trailers (transfers), movement of empty pallets, movement of empty drums, and confirming unconfirmed inventory.
• Safely transport pallets of material to various warehouse locations based on order requirements.
• Use RF scanners competently for product assignments and traceability.
• Strictly follow all stacking requirements set forth in the LTO training program.
• Load/unload a flatbed truck of full drums; pallets etc. and deliver them to an assigned area in the warehouse.
• May manually sort drums/totes by moving them off the pallets and placing them on other pallets.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• Ability to perform and comprehend verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to pass a basic English and Math skills test.
• Ability to read and complete all required paperwork.
• Must be able to successfully work with computer equipment I.E. scanners and printers.
• Must successfully complete LTO training.
• Good Attendance/Safety/Work Record
• Ability to work all shifts
• Able to work overtime
