Responsibilities

Job description

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for the smooth flow of incoming and outgoing product in a warehouse setting The individual in this position will transport products and maintain accurate records of all activity and will also assist supervisors in daily department task management ensuring team duties are performed in a manner that meets company quality and safety standards This position is located in a warehouse environment which may include being exposed to work in highprecarious places moving machinery marked changes in temperature and humidity and dust odors and fumes The individual in this position will frequently need to drive a forklift and physically transport products Moderate to heavy physical labor such as transporting heavy items is required on a regular basis

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function Assist in coordinating daily responsibilities of team members to ensure shippingreceiving needs are metPrepare and distribute assignments to team membersSafely use powered industrial trucks and other machinery to efficiently transport materials and products Use the companys warehouse management system WMS to accurately record movement of materials and productsSafely and efficiently load and unload trailers shelves racks and pallets Accurately inventory materials and product Weigh materials and products and record weight on tags labels and production schedulesConduct daily safety check off sheets on material handling equipment recharge batteries and fill fuel tankMaintain good housekeeping and regularly clean work area machines and equipmentIdentify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectivenessMaintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisormanager in discussing matters of importanceAdhere to established company values practices policies and procedures at all times Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules laws regulations and standards Ensure that team members follow company policy and maintain a safe work environment by encouraging safe practices and promptly resolving violations Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location
