Aramark Corporation in the Chicago area is seeking a Commissary Supervisor to oversee the administration and performance of all commissary activities for front-line associates on the shift. You will report to the AGM with significant interface with the GM, Office Manager, Warehouse Managers,Client and Vendors.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience warehouse lead or supervisor experience. Must understand the importance of safety, possess strong customer services skills, audit skills, math skills & the ability to work in a dynamic environment in an industrial setting.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record
• Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
• Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
• Flexible and able to adjust to variable work demands

Responsibilities

• Monitors activities of employees in the Amtrak railyard/station to ensure compliance with business processes and safety regulations.
• Monitors the commissary to ensure smooth flow of food and supplies to Amtrak trains.
• Monitors requisitions, tracking, temperature control, dating, delivery, inventory and quality control.
• Ensures PARs are assembled per Amtrak specs and delivered on time.
• Ensures commissary facilities and equipment are used, secured and maintained.
• Enforces security, safety and sanitation policies; ensures correct use of Power Industrial Vehicles and relevant regulations.
• Supervises the activities of each front-line associate during their shift.
• Provides guidance to the commissary team utilizing coaching and counseling when necessary.
• Maintains accurate physical inventory and works with office staff to resolve discrepancies.
• Enforces performance standards for staff.
• Schedules workforce to minimize overtime; participates in warehouse duties when needed.
• Executes training of staff at the yard and station.
• Conducts daily shift briefings when required.
• Participates in monthly staff meetings.
• Ensures work areas are clean at all times.
• Consistently makes recommendations to improve productivity, efficiencies, and customer service.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $27.00 to $27.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitors the activities of employees in the Amtrak railyard and/or Amtrak station ensuring compliance of all "Business Processes" and Safety Regulations.
• Monitors the activities of the commissary to ensure a smooth flow of food and supplies to Amtrak trains.
• Monitors requisitions, product tracking, temperature control, rotation and dating of product, delivery of product, strip of product, inventories and quality control.
• Maintains work methods and practices to ensure the PAR's are assembled in accordance with Amtrak's specifications and delivered to each car on time.
• Ensures that the commissary facilities and Amtrak's equipment are properly used, secured and maintained.
• Enforces commissary, regional and corporate security, safety and sanitation policies. Including the proper use of Power Industrial Vehicles, NRA & FDA regulations.
• Supervises the activities of each front-line associate during their shift.
