The Role
As a Warehouse Lead, you will be responsible for the receipt, evaluation, and pricing of donated items. You will lead, supervise, train, and assign duties to volunteers, ensuring a meaningful experience. This role reports to the Store Warehouse Manager.

  1. Drive Habitat’s donation truck within Spokane for pickups, assessing and securing donations.
  2. Assist in unloading donations, processing, pricing, and moving items to the sales floor.
  3. Screen donations for hazards, non-saleable items, and disposal costs.
  4. Determine fair market value of donations using available resources.
  5. Participate in safety training, identify hazards, and contribute to safety improvements.
  6. Implement improvements in donation receiving processes with the warehouse manager.
  7. Become forklift certified and operate equipment as needed.
  8. Process sales transactions accurately using a point-of-sale system, handling various payment methods.

Who You Are

  • Strong communication skills and positive community representation.
  • One year of customer service, warehouse, or sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead, supervise, and train volunteers and groups.
  • Knowledge of merchandising techniques and store procedures.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
