Job summary

Hermann-Forwarding is seeking a proactive Warehouse Lead / Office Clerk in Dayton, OH to oversee daily warehouse operations while supporting administrative tasks. The role acts as a bridge between warehouse staff, drivers, and office personnel to ensure accurate inventory and timely shipping.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, strong organizational skills, and hands-on experience with shipping, receiving, and forklift operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; minimum 2 years in warehouse/logistics/shipping or leadership.
• Experience leading or supervising warehouse personnel.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Experience with forklift operations and basic computer use (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Receiving: assign dock doors to drivers and coordinate unloading.
• Shipping: verify orders, process paperwork, and perform shipping per SOP.
• Backup Support: operate forklift when workload is high or coverage is needed.
• Warehouse SOP: maintain a safe, clean work environment per policy.
