Job summary

National Oilwell Varco, L.P. seeks an experienced Warehouse Lead for the evening shift in northwest Houston, TX. You will supervise the shift, ensure safety, manage inbound/outbound shipments, and maintain inventory accuracy to support production and customer delivery goals.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, train staff, and drive process improvements while upholding safety and efficiency standards in a dynamic warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience with at least 1 year in a lead role.
• Forklift certification and safe operation of material handling equipment.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping procedures.
• Ability to work evening shifts (3PM-11PM) and occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the evening shift warehouse team, ensuring productivity and safety.
• Receive, inspect, and process inbound stock with accurate documentation.
• Pick, pack, and stage orders per customer specs and priority.
• Manage inventory organization, labeling, and retrieval of stock.
• Conduct cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in the WMS.
• Prepare outbound shipments and coordinate with carriers.
• Maintain records of inventory movements and shipments.
• Enforce safety policies and conduct safety briefings.
• Identify process improvements and implement best practices.
• Train and mentor warehouse personnel.

National Oilwell Varco, L.P. is seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Lead for the evening shift in our northwest Houston, TX facility. The Lead will oversee all warehouse activities, manage inventory accuracy, and ensure timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role reports to the Warehouse Manager and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to support production and customer delivery goals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the evening shift warehouse team, ensuring productivity and safety standards are met.
• Receive, inspect, and process incoming stock and materials, verifying quantities and documentation.
• Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment according to customer specifications and priority.
• Manage inventory organization, including slotting, labeling, and retrieval of stock.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in the warehouse management system.
• Prepare and release outbound shipments, coordinating with carriers and logistics partners.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, receipts, and shipments.
• Enforce all safety policies and conduct regular safety briefings and inspections.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to increase efficiency.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate new and existing warehouse personnel.
