Job Title: Lead Warehouse, Dual Zone
Location: McDonough, GA
Compensation: $24.09 per hour
Overview:
Using NDCP’s standardized warehouse training content, trains newly hired warehouse workers in the required skills required perform successful in their warehouse roles. Provides remedial training to warehouse personnel, as necessary, to support improved performance, increased compliance with standards and/or improved adherence to safety standards. This position requires working in environments with variation in temperature and humidity (e.g., Dry, Cooler and Freezer areas)
Responsibilities
Train and coach newly hired employees in the necessary skills required to perform successfully in their warehouse roles. Training includes safety protocols, equipment certification, Vocollect and RF gun utilization and all standard operating procedures related to accurately selecting product to meet accuracy, quality and proficiency standards.Conduct remedial training, as necessary, with established warehouse personnel to support improved performance and/or to ensure increased compliance with standard operating procedures, improved and/or improved adherence to safety protocols.Conduct ongoing assessments of warehouse personnel and provide coaching to maximize individual performance, quality and safety standards.Provide feedback and recommendations to designated Training Supervisors and Warehouse Supervisors on potential ways to improve the overall training program / protocols.Operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to accurately demonstrate and safely hand select orders within various warehouse temperature environments: Dry (ambient temps), Cooler (34 degrees), and Freezer (-10 degrees).Demonstrate stacking product on pallets in accordance with proper operating procedures.Demonstrate staging pallets for loading at an assigned outbound dock location.Demonstrate shrink-wrap product to secure load for transit.Perform daily safety inspections on material handling equipment.Safely operate all equipment utilized to perform tasks associated with role.Qualifications
Ability and willingness to work independently within established procedures.Ability to effectively communicate performance expectations in a clear and concise manner and build effective interpersonal relationships.Operates as a champion of the Company and can effectively communicate the importance of the role in delivering on the Company’s commitments to its customer.Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.3 – 5 years of related experience and may require 2 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.Desire and ability to work in a collaborative work environmentStrong demonstrated knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures preferredBasic knowledge of food handling regulations preferredAbility and willingness to work flexible days and hours, including evenings and weekends, as neededStrong performance record reflecting the ability to consistently meet performance standards, quality and accuracy rates and adhere to safety protocols.Licensed forklift and electric pallet jack experience requiredProficient with voice picking software such as VocollectRF Gun experienceEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
