Job summary

Plumbers Supply Co. is hiring a Warehouse Lead Associate at our Bishop Lane location, responsible for leading a small team in a fast-paced warehouse and coordinating daily order picking activities.

You'll supervise associates, ensure on-time order fulfillment, maintain inventory accuracy, uphold safety standards, and report operational metrics to management. Forklift or cherry picker experience and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs with assistance are required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Lead or similar supervisory role in a warehouse environment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in using warehouse software and systems
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to physically handle the demands of the job, including lifting up to 75 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise warehouse associates, assign work, and set expectations.
• Ensure orders are picked, shipped accurately, and on time.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through organized storage and meticulous record-keeping.
• Uphold safety standards and compliance with regulations.

WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY BE DOING:

• Leadership and Supervision: Assign work and provide instructions to warehouse associates, setting clear expectations and holding team members accountable
• Operational Management: Ensure all customer orders are picked, shipped accurately, and within required timeframes.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accuracy in inventory through effective organization and detailed record-keeping
• Safety and Compliance: Uphold safety standards, ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for all stakeholders, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any operational discrepancies and improve processes to prevent future issues
• Equipment Operation: Operate cherry pickers, forklifts and other material handling equipment as necessary
• Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate documentation for all warehouse activities and provide reports to management
