They will help ensure a smooth and consistent operation, so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper areas in an effective and efficient manner. The Lead is also responsible for assisting with training new and existing employees.How you’ll contribute:Coordinate receiving activities to meet daily customer demandResponds to staff needs relating to technical and process issues and offers advice on proper work techniques and best practicesVerifies quality of work performed, ensuring that all process and quality procedures are understood and followed by team membersAssures all needed equipment is in the area for the employees and the equipment is ready for the following shift each dayEnsures all safety policies are understood and followed by team membersResponsible for leading tiered Daily Management System (DMS) meetingsPromotes Continuous Improvement and Lean thinking and initiatives within the teamHelps foster a culture of continuous improvement and works collaboratively to deliver measurable process gainsOversees area cycle count activities by ensuring procedures are followed and ongoing inventory counts are maintained consistentlyAssist in the daily warehouse activities such as inventory counts, picking customer orders, and delivering material to stock areas.
