Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Forklift driver’s certification or ability to acquire.
  • Ability to operate/use a hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable for company insurance.
  • Able to pull a flatbed trailer as needed.
  • Fast-paced environment; maintain composure, professionalism, and organization.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Responsible for fulfilling the logistics behind receiving, inspecting, processing and storing of inventory.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Maintain accurate records of products that have been offloaded and provide management with an accurate representation of all goods received to include damaged and/or missing items.

  • Organize garage door sections/doors by customer and/or business unit. Pull and stage product for upcoming work orders and assist with loading trucks as needed/directed.

  • Work with the office in handling wholesale and customer pick-up orders; pull, verify product to order and help load as needed.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, bins, vertical racking and undercover storage areas organized; comply with company and governmental procedures, rules and regulations with regard to the warehouse.

  • Keep the laydown and parking lot clean, organized and free from hazards that can affect the safe operation of the business (i.e. metal straps/screws, wood debris, cardboard, etc).

  • Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing processes and procedures.

  • Help with basic building and grounds maintenance as needed.

  • Deliver material to remote sites as required.

  • Assist with special projects and/or additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications/Educational Experience


  • A high school diploma or GED.

  • Forklift driver’s certification or the ability to acquire

  • Ability to operate/use a hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that allows for coverage under the company insurance plan. Able to pull a flatbed trailer as needed.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining composed, professional and organized; use good judgment in performing conflicting demands and managing priorities.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing.

  • Strong customer service, communication and organizational skills; strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to move and/or lift up to 75 pounds.

  • Ability to work outside under inclement weather conditions.

  • Must be energetic, a team player, and willing to help others when needed.

  • Computer literate has a familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite of products.
