Job summary

LifeScience Logistics in Brownsburg, IN is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations, supervise warehouse personnel, ensure safety and productivity, and coordinate training on SOPs and forklift safety.

Responsibilities

  • Processing and requisitioning of supplies; delivering, and packaging materials for shipment.
  • Supervise and coordinate Warehouse Personnel and activities to meet productivity goals, objectives, and maintenance functions.
  • Coordinate new and current employee training including personal safety, forklift safety, procedures, and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with internal/external customers to resolve discrepancies in shipping, receiving, and inventory; research errors and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare work schedules including assignments, rotations, breaks, overtime, and coverage for vacations/personal absences.
  • Address employee complaints and grievances ensuring compliance with procedures and fair resolution.
  • Assist Supervisor in developing plans for process improvement and in compiling productivity statistics.
  • Complete daily sanitation schedule and process end-shift paperwork.
  • Ensure warehouse is maintained in a sanitary manner according to company standards.
  • Inform Supervisor of potential problems and changes; act as backup in absence of Supervisor.

Job description

Technical Expertise
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Experience with warehouse operations, procedures, equipment, and terminology
  • Use of terminology of requisitions, invoices, and other warehouse documents
  • Operation of warehouse equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
  • Experience utilizing WMS, RF Guns/Scanners
Additional Employment Requirements
  • Must be able to successfully pass all preliminary employment requirements (i.e., background check and drug screen).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Physical/Mental/Visual Demands
  • Work is light to medium in nature with frequent walking to perform assigned tasks.
  • Occasional lifting of 25 – 50 lbs. is required
Working Conditions
  • Activities occur both inside and outside.
  • Hazardous conditions may exist, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts.
  • Employee is subjected to extreme cold while supervising in the freezer.
