Job summary

Sandvik is seeking a Warehouse Lead for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) to lead distribution operations. You will supervise daily activities, ensure on-time and accurate order fulfillment, and drive continuous improvement in warehouse processes while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires 5+ years in warehousing/distribution, forklift certification, and proficiency with WMS and badge systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in warehousing/distribution/supply chain environment.
• Forklift driving experience/certification.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Sandvik policies, SOPs, safety and environmental practices.
• Monitor and drive operations performance and quality in distribution.
• Lead team members, coordinate workflow, and resolve operational issues.
• Ensure accurate packaging, labeling, and VAS processing per customer requirements.
• Maintain clean, safe warehouse environment and accurate inventory reporting.

You will contribute to a clean and safe working environment ensuring an effective and efficient execution of the distribution operations, profitability of the organization and customer satisfaction through performing basic distribution operational processes maintaining quality and productivity standards.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESAdheres to all Sandvik policies, SOPs, safety, and environmental practicesUses correct tools and materials safely in executing operational processes and inspections e.g. MHEInvestigate and reports any discrepancies with regard to non-conformance, inventory, safety and other anomaliesResponsible to monitor and drive operations performance and qualityManage resources and make decisions regarding workflowAssists employees with operational issues to resolve themPartners with other team leads to drive overall warehouse performanceDrive improvements and/or monitors current processes and policiesMonitors individual and team performance and escalates issues to supervisor/manager as requiredUpdates department communication vessels & performs team communications as assigned by supervisorPerform all functions within departmentAccurately performing Value Added Service (VAS) functions on customer orders. This may include but is not limited to: applying customer specified item numbers to products, labelling or packaging per customer requirements, packing of orders per customer requirements, supplying the correct paperwork or correct number of copies as specified by the customer, and additional VAS functions as required.Accurate reporting of completed packages/shipments, separating packages by carrier and service, and ensuring that orders are completed per Sandvik policies and procedures.Reporting all found non-conformances.Follow instructions by leadershipLabor share throughout facilityParticipates in continuous improvement projectsWarehouse administration and housekeepingOther duties as assignedEXPERIENCE5+ years’ experience in Warehousing/ Distribution/ Supply Chain environmentForklift driving experience/certification Ability to use RFT, Warehouse Management System, Badge related systems and other warehouse systems as assigned.EDUCATION, LICENCES & CERTIFICATESHigh School or equivalent experience. Post-secondary education/training in business or supply chain discipline would be of advantage.Forklift driving experience/certificationOTHER:Desirable English Proficiency: Upper Intermediate (CEFR B2/ Completed EF level 9) Must be able to read and interpret customer orders, procedures and policies. Ability to effectively communicate to managers, supervisors, team leads and other employees to address customer or warehouse issues.
