Job summary

Karl Strauss Brewing Company is seeking a Lead/Supervisor for its warehouse team in California. You will supervise daily operations, coordinate tasks, and ensure accurate receiving, storage, and loading of materials while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a production or packaging setting as a lead, strong communication skills, a valid CA driver’s license, and forklift certification preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years experience as Lead or Supervisor in production or packaging.
• Strong communication across levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

• Leads daily warehouse operations and coordinates tasks.
• Oversees receiving, inspection, storage, picking, staging, loading.
• Maintains inventory accuracy with cycle counts and FIFO.
• Ensures safe operation of forklifts and other equipment.
• Trains and mentors warehouse team under Logistics Manager.
• Keeps a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and loading dock.

Our benefits include:Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) plan with employer matchRewards & recognition programAccrued vacation time and paid holidaysBeer, food, and merchandise discountsPet insurance discount...and more!Essential Functions & DutiesLeads and coordinates daily warehouse operations, including assigning tasks, monitoring workflow, and supporting team productivity.Oversees the accurate receiving, inspection, storage, picking, staging, and loading of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging.Maintains inventory accuracy through cycle counts, FIFO rotation, and proper documentation; track and report inventory discrepancies and equipment maintenance needs.Ensures safe and proper operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.Ensures products are properly handled, stored, and rotated to maintain freshness and quality standards.Enforces safety, sanitation, and warehouse standards in accordance with OSHA and company policies.Trains, mentors, and provides guidance to warehouse team members under the direction of the Logistics Manager.Maintains a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and loading dock environment.HS diploma or equivalent.1-2 years experience working in a production or packaging facility as a Lead or Supervisor.Works well independently and cooperatively with others.Strong communication skills spanning all levels within the organization.Must maintain a valid California driver’s license and be insurable on the Company’s automobile insurance policy.Ability to follow directions, read maps, and ask for assistance when necessary.Flexible schedule to accommodate for seasonal production demands.Forklift certification preferred.Physical Demands: Employee typically shares workstation with others in similar positions. Time spent conducting sedentary work is less than 25%. Requires walking, standing, and/or driving for more than 75% of the workday. Lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
