Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Lead to coach and train warehouse associates, including forklift drivers. The role involves supporting a range of warehouse functions, performing safety checks, and backing up supervisors to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities include training, inspections, paperwork, inventory checks, and flexible coverage across departments. Strong leadership, safety focus, and forklift certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Minimum 2 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience and 6 months experience related leadership or supervisory experience and/or training in a distribution environment.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator or be able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train warehouse associates and forklift drivers in daily tasks.
• Provide backup to supervisor as needed across departments (shipping/receiving, packing, inventory, general warehousing).
• Conduct PIT and annual recertification training and safety observations.
• Move products safely using powered industrial equipment and record shipments and labels.
• Participate in inventory/cycle counts and report variances to leadership.
• Perform daily safety inspections and ensure compliance with SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
• Assist with document handling and production reporting as required.
• Serve as backup to other warehouse roles and adapt to department needs.

The job is responsible to coach and train teammates to fulfill their individual daily tasks in addition to the Lead’s own tasks. The Lead may have various responsibilities based on the specific department, this can include, but is not limited to shipping/receiving, packaging, inventory control, general warehouse functions or material handling operators (i.e. forklift operators).
