Warehouse Lead – New 24/7 Distribution Center Startup

Moreno Valley, California

$23.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on shift assignment and experience)

What You’ll Do

As a Warehouse Lead, you will serve as the frontline leader for warehouse associates and help drive operational excellence while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of warehouse associates
• Support daily operations including receiving, shipping, picking, packing, inventory, and material handling
• Monitor productivity, quality, and attendance to ensure operational goals are achieved
• Assist with training and onboarding new employees
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Conduct shift start‑up meetings and communicate operational priorities
• Assist supervisors with staffing plans, workflow management, and performance feedback
• Troubleshoot operational issues and escalade concerns when necessary
• Maintain accurate records and utilize warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and startup activities

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics experience
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience as a Lead, Team Lead, Trainer, or Supervisor
• Experience working in a fast‑paced operational environment
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a startup or newly launched operation
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Forklift certification or equipment operating experience
• Inventory control, quality, or process improvement experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment that may include varying temperatures and noise levels

Schedule

This facility operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Warehouse Leads may be assigned to day, evening, overnight, or weekend shifts based on business needs. Shift differentials may apply.

How You Will Contribute

• Coordinate efficient operation of the department and ensure procedures are documented and followed.
• Assist with monitoring daily KPI’s, quality metrics, employee timecard exceptions & productivity administration.
• Provide backup and support to the Supervisor and represent them fully in periods of absence.
• Serve as liaison with all operational departments to ensure smooth workflow & maximum synergy.
• Provide leadership to staff by establishing clear expectations and acting as a role model and assist with planning, overseeing and participating in warehouse operations and activities.
• Able to work required scheduled shifts deemed necessary to meet the production goals and KPIs of the site. Schedule may fluctuate based on business needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications

• HS Diploma / GED
• Experience in a Lead role
• Experience in a Logistics or Manufacturing environment
• Prior forklift experience
