Job summary

California Closets CCO is seeking a Warehouse Lead to guide a small team in a company-owned warehouse. You will coach associates, manage daily tasks, and support shipping/receiving, inventory control, and material handling operations.

A valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required, with a typical Mon-Fri 7:30a-4p schedule. Experience leading a small team is preferred, and this role offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, PTO, 401K, and career growth

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve warehouse conditions and layouts.

• Receive and stage materials for customer jobs at company locations.
• Ensure procedures and safety standards are followed.
• Inspect materials and stock designated areas.
• Train new warehouse staff and forklift drivers; conduct PIT recertification.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely to move products for distribution.

Job Description

The Warehouse Lead supports anddelivers on the California Closets Brand Experience and is a key element in creating a healthy and cohesive work environment.The Warehouse Lead is responsible for acting as a coach/leader of warehouse associates and lead by example to inspire team mates to fulfill their individual daily tasks in addition to their own. The lead may have various responsibilities based on the specific department, this can include, but is not limited to shipping/receiving, packaging, inventory control, general warehouse functions or material handling operators (i.e. forklift operators). The lead will provide backup to the supervisor as needed.

***The pay for this opportunity is $28-$32/hr DOE***

***Must have a valid driver license and the ability to lift 50lbs***

***The typical work schedule will be Monday-Friday 7:30a to 4p***

***Experience in leading a small team is preferred***

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
• Responsible for tracking and analysis on all ongoing project in coordination with Warehouse Manager, delegate tasks/share results with team
• Receiving and staging all materials for customer jobs at company-owned locations.
• Ensure appropriate procedures and standards are established and followed
• Examine materials to verify specifications required and stock materials in designated areas of the warehouse
• Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers and conduct Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and annual recertification training
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products or materials for distribution such as clamp/slip sheet equipment; load, unload, and store materials/products in designated areas
• Ensure product material handling procedures are followed, model and train PPE Best Practices for team
• Serve as backup to other warehouse roles, as needed
