Job summary

RealTruck is seeking a Warehouse Lead in Grand Forks, ND to supervise a production team and drive quality and efficiency. You will partner with leadership on scheduling, labor efficiency, and throughputs; help cross-train staff and maintain accurate work instructions.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years in manufacturing/distribution with leadership; 3-5 years leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide a team of production employees to meet goals and quality standards.
  • Schedule labor, improve throughput, and coordinate with leaders for efficiency.
  • Cross-train staff and develop multi-skill capabilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date work instructions and inventory accuracy with other departments.
  • Communicate maintenance issues and manage consumables replacement as needed.
  • Mentor employees and address issues as the first line of defense.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of production employees to achieve goals and maintain high standards of quality. This role will require a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication to drive team success.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Partner with the Leadership on employee scheduling, labor efficiency, work instructions, and throughput
  • Collaborate with other area leads and supervisors to facilitate cross-training opportunities; develop employee knowledge in multiple skill sets
  • Implement work instructions to ensure employee knowledge and accuracy is up to date
  • Collaborate with purchasing, production scheduler, and shipping to monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for all parts
  • Effectively communicate maintenance issues and repair and replace consumables as needed
  • Serve as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skill sets
  • Serve as the initial point of contact and primary support resource for employees, functioning as the first line of defense in addressing and resolving various issues they may encounter
  • Perform other related or non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or a combination of experience and education required
  • Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities required
  • 3-5 years in years in manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities preferred.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead: working team member who coordinates, supports, trains, and is a knowledge resource for other team members. No direct reports or supervisory responsibility.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position is subject to Medium Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 100 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 100 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
