This hands-on leader will work with warehouse leadership to keep operations running smoothly, support staff, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure orders are processed correctly and on schedule. The ideal candidate communicates effectively, solves problems quickly, and keeps the team focused in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

1st Shift Logistics Lead

Pay: Starting at $19.00 per hour, paid weekly
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:50 AM until operations are complete
Location: Garden City, GA

Position Summary

DarkHorse Express Solutions Inc. is looking for a reliable and motivated Logistics Lead to help oversee daily warehouse activities at our client’s facility. This position will work alongside warehouse leadership to keep operations running efficiently, support employees, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure customer orders are processed correctly and on schedule.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can communicate effectively, solve problems quickly, and keep the team focused in a busy warehouse environment.

Key Duties

• Team Leadership: Provide direction to warehouse associates throughout the shift while helping employees stay productive, engaged, and supported.
• Order Processing: Monitor picking, packing, and shipping activities to ensure orders are completed accurately and meet required deadlines.
• Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts, product tracking, recordkeeping, and proper warehouse organization.
• Warehouse Operations: Support receiving, shipping, staging, material movement, and other daily logistics functions as needed.
• Employee Training: Help train and prepare new team members by demonstrating proper procedures, expectations, and workplace practices.
• Problem Solving: Identify delays, workflow issues, and operational challenges and take appropriate action to keep productivity on track.
• Safety & Organization: Promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment while ensuring employees follow established safety procedures.
• Leadership Support: Work closely with warehouse supervisors to meet production goals and maintain consistent daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of warehouse or distribution experience.
• Minimum of 1 year in a lead, coordinator, or supervisory role.
• Strong communication and people-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees from different backgrounds and experience levels.
• Comfortable using computers and warehouse management or inventory systems.
• Strong attention to accuracy, organization, and detail.
• Able to remain productive and make sound decisions in a fast-moving work environment.

Additional Qualifications

• Forklift certification or previous experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus.
• Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
