JOB DESCRIPTION DAP is seeking a dynamic Warehouse Lead at our Baltimore Distribution Center!

Under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, this position directs the activities of the bare works area, re-pack area, small parcel and any special projects required to achieve company goals. This position will also assist the Operations Manager during high customer requirements and heavy volume days to attain company and customer goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Project ManagementCoordinate and manage projects required by DAP and customers with corporate guidance and support. Communicate any issues or needs to complete the projects in a timely manner. Train and manage the temporary workforce to minimize issues, motivate, assign, and reassign manpower to maximize the effectiveness of personnel.
  • SafetyEnsure that all associates maintain a safe work environment and that all DC policies and practices are adhered to. Ensure that housekeeping assignments are maintained in an acceptable level in all areas of responsibility.
  • Procedure Compliance & ImprovementEnsure that all e-comm and special orders are prepared and shipped in accordance with established policies, procedures, and customer requirements, including complete and proper wrapping, paperwork, and loading. Notify Operations Manager of problems that need to be corrected to meet these requirements prior to authorizing the shipment for loading.
  • Actively participate in constant improvement by identifying opportunities and bringing forth possible solutions and active involvement with the various teams. Maintain strong relationships with all associates, as well as internal and external customer, to minimize issues.
  • SupportEnsure that all administrative duties, including bills of lading, timesheets, and accident reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Provides leadership support in the absence of shift leadership (supervisors).
  • Materials ManagementCoordinate and oversee storage of finished goods to maximize warehouse space and promote efficient flow of materials, as well as the palletizing of orders and loading of trailers. Ensure quality pallets are being used to build orders, and wrapping and loading procedures are being followed in the mini pallet and repack areas. Order supplies as needed with the assistance of the Operations Manager.
  • Other DutiesSupport the day-to-day activities of the DC by performing any other task presented by management, includes but not limited to safety walks, labeling, loading, inventory, selecting orders etc.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a Warehouse Lead role or similar position
  • Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and walkie rider
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for periods of up to 3 hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Must be able to use RF gun, shrink wrap machine, CRT, SATO printer, bill of lading printers, hand tools

Pay Range:$21.68/hr - $30.35/hr
