Position Summary

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist craftsmen in setting up work as required.
• Follow instructions given by superintendents, foremen, and other experienced crew members.
• Perform all duties with a focus on safety.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Read and understand warning signs, operating instructions for equipment, safety rules, and policies.
• Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to identify hazards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with experience in the field or related area.
• Working knowledge of skills and abilities relevant to the position.
• Ability to understand, follow, and communicate instructions effectively.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Ability to move constantly about construction sites, including standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
• Work irregular hours, including weekends, overtime, and holidays.
• Use ladders, mechanical platforms, manlifts, scaffolds, and climb structures as needed.
• Work in confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.
• Complete tasks in noisy and dusty environments.
• Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Possess required tools.
• Comply with safety and project rules.
• Pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and be fit for duty.
