Job summary

Mini Melts of America is seeking a Warehouse Jumper in Trevose, PA for a part-time, manual-labor role. You will cover deliveries when route drivers are unavailable and assist with general warehouse duties under the Warehouse Manager.

Responsibilities include driving trucks or vans, delivering to GNG/Wholesale/Vending locations, handling inventory, loading/unloading, and assisting with equipment installations.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable, clear communication skills (verbal and written).
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Pre-employment background screening and drug test required.
• DOT physical exam and certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver to various customer locations and document inventory movement.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and stocking of products.
• Operate and drive 26 ft/16 ft trucks or vans as needed.
• Assist with installation and setup of vending equipment and freezers.
• Coordinate daily with Warehouse Manager and management on operations.

Position Overview:

As a Mini Melts Route Jumper, you will act as a fill-in to complete customer deliveries that cannot be completed by our everyday route drivers. Whether it is covering for an employee call out or completing deliveries due to high volume, you will be required to complete deliveries as needed. In the time that you aren’t completing deliveries, you will be assisting with general warehouse duties at the direction of the Warehouse Manager.

Job Duties:

On the Road:

• Driver 26 ft box truck, 16ft box truck, and van depending on the day
• Deliver to various customer locations. GNG Customers, Wholesale Customers, and Vending Locations.
• Responsible for accurate documentation of truck inventory & product movement to and from customer locations.
• Safely collects, secures, and transports funds from customer locations to the office.
• Responsible for minor repairs to freezers and vending machines
• Delivering, moving and installation of vending machines, Grab N Go freezers & equipment to and from location.
• Effective communication with Management with all aspects of daily operations during and at the end of each shift.
• Meet customer service expectations through daily communication, problem solving, & follow ups.
• Daily start time will be 8am but start times and weekend work will vary and are subject to change depending on customers needs.

In the Warehouse:

• Accurately pick, pack and prepare orders for shipping using established warehouse procedures
• Receive all supplies and equipment using Warehouse receiving tickets, packing slips, and receiving products checklist.
• Inspect and verify all incoming shipments prior to accepting
• Process, package, and stage equipment for shipping following the direct orders of the Warehouse Manager
• Assemble and Fill GNG Freezers
• Clean and Refurbish returned Freezers and Vending Machines
• Load and unload trucks daily
• Periodic Inventory Counting
• Handling of Ice Cream Product quickly and efficiently without loss or damage
• General warehouse cleaning and maintenance
• Handling of Dry Ice regularly
• Assist the Warehouse Manager with special projects or other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Working in -40 Temperatures up to 15 minutes at a time
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to operate an electric pallet jack
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Pre-employment background screening and drug test
• Must successfully pass a standard DOT physical examination and obtain a valid certification
• Ability to work at least 28 hrs per week. This is a part - time position.
• Shifts will be 8am-6pm and requires availability Monday through Friday + ability to work weekends

• Basic understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, company product codes and terminology.
• Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
• Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
