Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation in La Crosse, WI is seeking a dedicated Janitorial Associate to help keep our distribution center floors safe and clean. You will operate power equipment such as a forklift, tugger and floor scrubber while maintaining our high safety standards.

This 2nd shift (Sunday–Thursday, 4:00 pm–12:30 am) position offers weekly pay, PTO, health coverage and a strong path for growth within a national retailer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shift and hour.
• Be a safety champion by promoting a safe and productive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Operate power equipment such as a forklift, tugger and a floor scrubber.
• Clean bag goods aisles.
• Empty cardboard in the warehouse.
• Make bales and manage waste and trash.
• Sweep and vacuum trash in assigned aisles.
• Pick up broken pallets, cardboard and trash.
• Remove damaged products to the damage area.
• Maintain and clean stairwells.
• Assist with snow removal and de-icing during inclement weather.
• Order housekeeping supplies and keep windows clean.

Starting wage range starts at $17 per hour + 2nd Shift Differential

Job Description:

We are looking to fill open roles at our La Crosse, WI Distribution Center, in our Janitorial Department, helping us keep our floors safe and clean by operating power equipment such as a forklift's, tuggers and a floor sweeper/scrubber.

2nd shift

Sunday- Thursday 4:00pm- 12:30am

What You’ll Do

• Operate power equipment such as a forklift, tugger and a floor scrubber.
• Clean bag good aisles
• Empty cardboard in the warehouse
• Making bales
• Sweep and Vacuum trash in assigned aisles
• Pick up broken pallets, cardboard, and trash
• Remove damaged products and take to the damage area
• Maintain and clean stairwells.
• During inclement weather, maintain sidewalks by shoveling snow, putting out ice melt, etc.
• Emptying trash cans
• Ordering supplies for housekeeping
• Cleaning windows
• Maintain a safe work environment at all times
• Other projects as needed
