C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking a dedicated custodian/janitor for our Miami facility. You will maintain a clean, safe environment across warehouses and offices, including floors, restrooms, and break areas. The role involves occasional pallet jack use and handling spills, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in janitorial/warehouse cleaning is preferred.
• Ability to lift 1–60 lbs and operate equipment safely.
• Willingness to work in a refrigerated or cool environment as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a clean, safe work environment as custodian/janitor.
• Clean warehouse areas including offices, break rooms, windows and restrooms.
• Maintain good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors.
• Occasionally pull products from pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber.
• Tend to spills including damaged product, oil, and grease.
• Collect plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes for proper disposal.

You will contribute by:

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor
• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms
• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors
• Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product
• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly
• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
