Job summary

GPSI Guam is seeking a Warehouse Specialist in Tamuning, GU to perform warehousing duties according to DoD procedures. You will route materials, verify inbound items, store stock, conduct inventories and prepare shipments, while backing up the Warehouse Supervisor.

Required: valid driver’s license, forklift eligibility, basic math, and a strong safety focus in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.
Two (2) years experience with material packaging, record filing and/or property inventory.
Knowledge of inventory management systems, such as MINCOM, SAP or Maximo.
Possession of or ability to obtain a forklift license and an AB driver's license.

Responsibilities

Routes materials to prescribed storage locations.
Verifies incoming materials against receiving documents; notes discrepancies and damages.
Stores, stacks, or palletizes materials per storage methods.
Takes inventory of stored materials and re-warehouses as directed.
Inspects stored materials and reports deterioration and damage.
Issues parts to tradesmen and transfers materials to replenish stock.
Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment.
Assists with inventory and discrepancy identification.
Provides backup support to Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.
Operates company vehicles and equipment; uses hand/power trucks.
