Job summary

Webstaurantstore is seeking a Material Handler to unload, check in, stock, pick, consolidate, pack, and ship inventory in the warehouse using our ERP system and warehouse equipment, including forklifts. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, scan items, and move goods to storage or shipping areas while maintaining accuracy, safety, and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and handle difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence

Responsibilities

• Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment, or unload import containers by hand
• Use our ERP system to receive inventory accurately and efficiently, ready to be placed in storage
• Move palletized product using pallet jacks/forklift equipment to organize the receiving dock or transport to other areas
• Scan and place inventory in racking locations using forklift equipment and a handheld scanning device
• Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently using handheld scanners and ERP
• Sort and consolidate picked items and prepare customer orders for shipment
• Pack products accurately and securely using our SPS system
• Operate warehouse equipment following safety protocols and meet performance standards
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and escalate hazards
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly and monthly goals
• Abide by all company and warehouse policies
