Job description

Location: Faribault, MN (Minnesota)

Job Title: Warehouse Inventory Specialist

Immediate Supervisor: Warehouse Supervisor

Schedule : Mon - Fri, typically 7am-3:30pm, could be later if waiting on trucks (one Saturday a month)

Summary: This Warehouse position carries out all the necessary shipping, receiving and inventory functions of the warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ship and receive product according to department standards.
  • Compile and log receipts of inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Communicate receiving schedules and set dock appointments.
  • Maintain daily inventory of saleable products and raw materials.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and make recommendations for inventory adjustments.
  • Inventory and replenish raw materials to the Packaging Department.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping of coolers, warehouses, and plant.
  • Assist in any other areas of the manufacturing plant as required.

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Ability to work alone with little or no direction.
  • Previous forklift experience.
  • Experience coordinating logistics a plus.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent skills by experience.
  • Must demonstrate basic math skills to calculate production yields, and understand weights and measures.
  • Must be able to read, interpret and understand written and oral directions.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate, understand, and write in the English language.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends.
  • Must have a drivers license and reliable transportation from the offsite warehouse to the plant.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time. The employee is required to use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms on a repetitive basis. The employee must be able to lift, bend, stoop, push/pull exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Requires visual acuity to review written documentations; ability to hear and understand speech. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level. There is exposure to a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and exposure to heat/cold temperature changes.
