Job summary

Aerotek in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a Material Handler to load and unload trailers, manage inventory, and prepare orders for shipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This contract, on-site role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficient material flow.

You will operate equipment, conduct cycle counts, optimize space, and follow distribution procedures while maintaining product handling standards. Weekly pay and benefits eligibility are offered where applicable.

Qualifications

• Background in material handling or warehouse operations.
• Experience in production environments and meeting productivity goals.
• Familiarity with stand-up forklifts is an advantage.
• Comfort with packaging materials and processes.
• Attention to labeling, packaging and order accuracy.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from management.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers and vehicles with safety devices.
• Conduct daily cycle counts and participate in inventories.
• Consolidate products to optimize space in the warehouse.
• Maintain awareness of product handling requirements for storage and movement.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock in racking.
• Assist the team to meet productivity targets and complete tasks promptly.
• Prepare items to customer packaging, labeling, and shipping specs.
• Operate material handling equipment and certified trucks as required.
• Follow distribution management guidance and perform related duties.
