Job summary

ABC Liquors, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Cycle Counter to maintain accurate stock levels across 125+ stores. You will perform daily cycle counts, track lot codes, and investigate discrepancies to ensure inventory integrity.

The role requires handling boxes, operating equipment, and complying with safety protocols. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in inventory counting, strong Excel and WMS skills, and good communication.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of inventory counting or inventory management experience.
• Solid computer skills and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently.

Job description

Join Our Team! Warehouse employees are important members of the ABC team, who make sure that product is ready for shipment to our 125+ stores. Team members work in a physically demanding environment where meeting productivity standards and safety standards are required. The Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for monitoring and controlling inventory, including counting inventory, and reporting discrepancies for resolution. The schedule is Monday - Thursday 7AM - 5PM* . Hours may vary due to the needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cycle counts
• Monitor and control inventory integrity
• Maintain product identification, location, and lot code accuracy
• Research inventory discrepancies
• Work with Inventory Control Coordinator
• Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items to determine quantity on hand
• Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products
• Determine reason for discrepancy; follow-up with proper manager to correct issue
• Occasionally operate cherry picker or other machinery to reach items on high shelves for counting
• Perform physical inventories, random or receipt audits, and reconciliations
• Operate a cherry picker to reach some of the warehouse inventory

Warehouse Responsibilities – All Employees

• Follow all ABC safety protocols
• Promptly report and clean up spills, breakage, or other issues
• Lift 35-50-pound cases, sometimes a hundred times a day
• Stand on feet for 10+ hours a day
• Maintain minimum productivity standards per department
• Assemble boxes for spilt case line
• Clean, sanitize, and keep warehouse tidy
• Prepare work area for next day, including charging equipment and organizing area
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Minimum Experience, Skills, and Education
• 1-2 years of inventory counting, or inventory management experience required
• Solid computer skills, including Warehouse Management Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, & Outlook
• Mathematical skills to count, add, subtract, and multiply as needed in position
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Logical reasoning ability to sort out issues
• Detail oriented
• Experience using WMS (Manhattan) scanner
• Experience and/or certification in cherry picker operation
• 19 years of age or older
• Must pass both drug and background checks prior to starting work
• Must speak and understand job-level English
• Have a positive teamwork attitude; is reliable and trust-worthy

Physical Requirements With or Without Accommodations

• Must be able to remain standing for long periods of time, upwards of 10 hours at a time, and move throughout the warehouse
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of product
• Must be able to reach with hands and arms for product and use hands to work with and feel product
• Able to frequently climb and descend ladders or lift platforms that may be greater than 6 feet.
• Able to move body to access products that are out of reach above or below body level
• Sense of smell occasionally needed to find damages that may not be visible
• Close vision (at 20 inches or less), distance vision (at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus are needed

Frequent humid conditions: the warehouse is not temperature controlled. Fans are provided. Moving mechanical parts are frequently used. The employee is frequently exposed to working in high, precarious places (greater than 6ft). There is occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
