Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking a warehouse inventory technician to accurately provide stock information across multiple branches. You will monitor and organize material inventory, perform data entry, and support logistics on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork, with responsibilities ranging from receiving shipments to maintaining inventory tags and supporting production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write English and perform basic math.
• Basic computer skills for data entry into inventory management system.
• Ability to use tape measure and calipers for material inspection/measurement.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and written work.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. with or without accommodation.
• Certification to operate material handling equipment (forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, cherry-picker).

Responsibilities

• Receive and process shipments between locations or from mills.
• Move material from stock to processing to support production.
• Operate material handling equipment as needed.
• Enter data into the inventory management system accurately.
• Create and maintain inventory identification tags.
• Consolidate materials and identify shortages.
• Communicate issues to the appropriate staff.
• Perform scrap verification and maintain accuracy across tasks.
• Support health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives.
