Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Independence, KY is hiring an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain, track and report physical inventory. You will liaise with internal and external customers to ensure accuracy of inventory and accounting records.

Responsibilities include using WMS data for inventory control, identifying issues, and maintaining pallet integrity. Food safety, housekeeping, and safety standards apply; the role requires flexibility for schedule needs and physical work in a cold

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience operating MHE preferred.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems preferred.
• Basic math and accurate pallet ID checks.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

You will act as a liaison between internal and external customers to ensure accuracy of physical inventory and fiscal accounting.Key Responsibilities:Perform all inventory functions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, compliance, profitability, proper material handling, and minimal damageUse Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) data to ensure efficient and proper inventory controlResearch and identify quality control issues to minimize recurrence and ensure regulatory complianceIdentify opportunities for improvement of all inventory functions and programsCheck condition of pallets and exchange where necessaryPromptly report damage and all inventory discrepanciesMaintain cleanliness and repair of dock, and facility areasEnsure pallets are wrapped and stacked for safe transport to storageSafely operate appropriate Material Handling Equipment after trainingMaintain all food safety, housekeeping and other applicable standardsOther duties as assignedQualifications:Education - High school diploma or GED.
