Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking an ICQA Specialist to perform cycle counting, floor pick location verification, and inventory validation in warehouse reserve locations using handheld devices and computers.

The role includes researching variances, validating product dating, and supporting inbound receiving audits. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of related experience and a GED/high school diploma, with preferred experience in warehouse management systems.

Position Overview

The Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) Specialist will perform cycle counting, floor pick location verification, and inventory verification in warehouse reserve locations using appropriate tools such as computers and handheld devices.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate cycle counts of inventory locations and update the system as required.
• Research and process problem pallets and unlocated inventory.
• Identify errors and log them as directed by the supervisor.
• Validate dating of products and update data.
• Perform daily audit of inbound receiving.
• Identify and investigate root causes of variances and report findings to Operations partners.
• Respond to buyer requests for item checks and code‑to‑code transfers.
• Coordinate handling of obsolete and at‑risk inventory (vendor returns, donations, recalls), including identification, communication, adjustment, and validation.
• Research and resolve inventory variances.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Warehouse refrigeration: -20°F to 0°F
• Warehouse perishable: 28°F to 60°F
• Warehouse grocery: 50°F to 90°F

Qualifications

• Years of experience: 2–5 years in related experience and/or training or equivalent education.
• Education: General Equivalency Diploma in General Studies, high school diploma in General Studies.
• Preferred: Experience with warehouse and inventory management systems and software.
• Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America).

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, stoop, grip, carry, and lift objects weighing 20–60 lbs.
