C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking an Inventory Control Lead in Windsor Locks, CT. The role focuses on coordinating counts, validating inventory processes, and reporting key quality metrics. You will identify discrepancies and drive accurate recording using handheld devices, with supervision from IC leadership.

Earn $26.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule. Located at 500 North Street, Windsor Locks, CT. Travel is not required. Benefits and career progression are offered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily IC/QA tasks with supervisors and IC reps.
• Monitor task allocation and adjust as needed.
• Record counts and input data into handheld devices.
• Train ICQA staff on processes and tools.
• Perform cycle counts of assigned slots and audits as required.
• Handle obsolete and at‑risk inventory (vendor returns, recalls).
• Document procedures and ensure adherence to standards.

Position Overview

As an Inventory Control Lead - you will coordinate the execution and recording of counts, the validation of various inventory processes and reporting of key quality performance indicators. Identify and carry out audit spot checks, resolve and correct for discrepancies related to the IC and QA functions.

Shift: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Location: 500 North Street, Windsor Locks, CT

Travel Required: No

What you will contribute:

• Work with supervisor to allocate assignments to IC reps, IC specialists and auditors each day, including but not limited to
• Assist supervisor in monitoring task allocation during the day and adjust as necessary
• Assist supervisor in monitoring execution of tasks by individuals
• Assist supervisor in identification and input of counts and customer loads into handhelds/iPads
• Assist supervisor with training ICQA Reps, Specialists and Auditors
• Conduct cycle count of assigned pick slots and reserve slots (inventory locations) per handheld device as necessary and identify sample spot checks of floor count checks (audits) and execute as necessary
• Coordinate the handling of obsolete and at risk inventory (vendor returns, donations, recalls) to include: identifying, communicating, adjusting and validating product
• Capture KQI information and communicate to ICQA reporting & analysis team
• Reserve aisle rates - identify aisles requiring higher than average adjustments, review with Operations and agree actions to address
• Storage reconciliation - resolution of differences occurring on transfer between storage locations
• Determine resolution in event of order errors and ensure resolution is completed
• Communicate audit issues to supervisor/customer/operations as necessary
• Document all procedures and ensure procedures are followed
