Job summary

NEFCO in Ashland, VA is seeking an Inventory Associate to manage inventory control in our main distribution center and support cycle counts and related projects.

Experience operating a stand-up reach forklift, proficiency with our ERP system, and solid computer skills are required; the role is non-exempt with overtime opportunities and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to use NEFCO's ERP system.
• Basic computer skills (Word/Excel/Outlook) a plus.
• Positive, hard-working attitude and self-motivation.
• Ability to prioritize, work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to stand on concrete floor and lift up to 50+ lbs.

Reports to – Inventory Supervisor

Job Summary: The Inventory Associate will be responsible for all activities relating to inventory management and control in our main distribution center.

***Must have demonstrated experience safely operating a stand-up reach forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment***

Job Duties

• Inventory cycle counts
• Hands on job responsible for special inventory projects
• Work directly with Inventory Supervisor and other to minimize material ‘can’t finds’ and ensure accuracy/integrity of inventory

Details

• Monday – Friday
• Typically 40 hours

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Ability to use NEFCO’s ERP software system
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook a plus
• Basic computer skills
• Must have a positive, hard-working attitude
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently and little supervision
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to stand on concrete floor for long periods of time
• Must be able to work in various climate conditions such as cold, heat, humidity for a long period of time
• Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl and twist for lifting
• Ability to safely lift up to 50+ lbs.
• Ability to review and interpret computer images and written documents
• Analytical ability including basic math skills
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime.
