ABB in Pinetops, NC is seeking a hands-on assembler to support production targets on the shop floor. You will read and interpret technical diagrams and assemble products, with responsibility for packing when integrated with lines.

The role is onsite at the Pinetops facility and involves manual tasks and safety adherence. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, US work authorization, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

This position reports to:

Your Role And Responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Each day, you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. You will also showcase your expertise by reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.

The work model for the role is: onsite at the Pinetops, NC facility.

• Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including the packing where integrated with production lines.
• Performing work manually or by using light hand tools.
• Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications For The Role (Mandatory)

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Working Conditions

Manufacturing plant environments require a combination of hands-on and technical tasks. Work may involve occasional lifting of materials, climbing stairs/ladders, and walking. Employees may be required to bend, twist, or stand for extended periods.

Frequent use of computers is necessary for data entry, monitoring, and communication. Employees will also handle a variety of tools and equipment, from hand tools to machinery, requiring technical skills and adherence to safety protocols.
