Job summary

Baker Hughes is hiring for a Warehouse In Yard Operator (Drill Bits) to ensure materials are received, stored, and distributed to support production and shipping needs. You will work closely with production teams and suppliers to maintain inventory accuracy and timely material availability.

The role requires forklift operation experience, SAP familiarity, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2–3 years of warehouse experience.
  • Experience operating a forklift.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
  • Basic written communication, math, and PC skills.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound materials from suppliers, Baker Hughes plants, and field locations.
  • Stock received materials and assemblies from in-house production.
  • Pick, pack and deliver materials to production or shipping departments.
  • Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Prepare component kits for production and fulfill orders.
  • Support supplier subcontract parts management and material flow.
  • Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move freight safely.

Are you passionate about inventory accuracy, logistics excellence, and supporting customer and production needs through efficient warehouse operations? Partner with the best As a Warehouse In Yard Operator (Drill Bits), you will play a key role in supporting warehouse and inventory operations by ensuring materials are received, stored, and distributed efficiently. You will work closely with production teams, suppliers, and logistics partners to maintain inventory accuracy, support operational requirements, and ensure timely material availability. You will contribute to warehouse excellence by maintaining organized inventory, supporting production through material movement, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures. As a Warehouse In Yard Operator), you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities
  • Receiving inbound materials from external suppliers, Baker Hughes plants, and field locations.
  • Stocking received materials, completed products, and assemblies from in-house production activities.
  • Picking, packing, and delivering materials, components, and finished products to production or shipping departments.
  • Performing cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Preparing component kits for production and fulfilling customer and supplier-related orders.
  • Supporting supplier subcontract parts management and warehouse material flow.
  • Operating forklifts to load, unload, and move freight safely and efficiently.
  • Maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuacy in all warehouse transactions.
  • Ensuring compliance with company safety standards, warehouse procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Supporting continuous improvement efforts to enhance warehouse productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Have 2-3 years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Have previous experience operating a forklift.
  • Demonstrate the ability to safely operate a forklift while loading and unloading freight.
  • Have SAP experience (strongly preferred).
  • Be able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and operational documents.
  • Possess basic written communication, mathematical, and PC skills.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes noisy warehouse environment.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and support operational requirements as needed.
