Job summary

BD (Becton, Dickinson, and Company) is seeking a weekday forklift operator to move products in and out of Sterilization facilities. The role involves loading outbound trailers, verifying lots, routing pallets, and maintaining GMP-compliant, safe work areas on the warehouse floor in Madison, GA.

The position operates 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with cross-training opportunities across Sterilization functions.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Good verbal communication and basic math skills.
• Ability to interpret instructions and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Loads outbound trailers.
• Verify products, lots and quantities via a Sterilization control document.
• Route products/pallets to designated areas.
• Inspect products for damages.
• Product lot verification via the HighJump Inventory Management system.
• Complete JDE transactions utilizing IBM Data Collection.
• Control the flow of pallets on the dock.
• Cross train various positions within the Sterilization facilities.
• Maintain GMP-compliant workspace and complete monthly trainings.

Job Description

Weekday Days (6:00 am -2:30 pm Monday- Friday)

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the movement of products in and out of the Sterilization facilities. Moves products via a forklift.

Key Responsibilities

• Loads outbound trailers
• Verification of products, lots and quantities via a Sterilization control document
• The routing of products/pallets to the designated areas
• Inspection of products for damages
• Product lot verification via the HighJump Inventory Management system
• Complete JDE transactions utilizing IBM Data Collection
• Control the flow of pallets on the dock
• May be required to physically re-stack products on another pallet
• Ability to cross train various positions within the Sterilization faculties
• Ensures all assigned duties are safely completed in a timely manner in accordance with department standards and by following department procedures.
• Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in GMPs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Complete all Master Control and C2C Training at the end of every month.

Educational Qualifications & Previous Experience

• High School education or equivalent preferred.

Professional Skills & Key Competencies

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Must have good basic math skills.
• Ability to solve practical problems.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
• This position works on the warehouse floor.
• The area is subject to wide temperature swings. It is hot in summer (no AC) and cold in winter (very limited heating).
• Ability to work at high volume levels.
