Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking a Warehouse Associate to coordinate shipping, receiving and inventory at the project site. You will support the Warehouse Manager, maintain cleanliness, inspect equipment and track materials.

The role requires 3-4 years related experience, ability to read specifications and reports, and willingness to travel up to 90% with a 50-hour workweek.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in construction crafts as a helper or laborer, or equivalent experience and training.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
  • Perform in and out inspections for all equipment leaving the warehouse.
  • Assist manager with inventory management at the facility.
  • Inventory all tools and rigging coming in and leaving the facility.
  • Interpret specifications and work orders.
  • Requisition, obtain and distribute supplies and materials.
  • Assist with resolving problems with Warehouse Manager.
  • Read, prepare, collect and maintain reports.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for working directly with theWarehouse Managerto coordinate the shipping, receiving and inventoryby utilizing knowledge of equipment, procedures and specifications.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in one or more construction craft roles as a helper or laborer, or a combination of work experience and training, and a basic knowledge of the craft assigned.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
  • When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.
  • Set a personal example of safe behavior.
  • Proficient in one or more craft areas
  • Ability to compute basics numbers, read scales and use simple fractions
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within timelines
  • Developing knowledge in the fabrication, installation or maintenance of construction components and systems testing of various systems with appropriate tools, and familiarity with any applicable state and federal codes. Must have all necessary for licenses required for the area the work is to be performed, if applicable.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions. In addition, must have all necessary tools (see craft specific Helper Tool List)
  • Other may duties may be assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
  • May need to maintain physical strength and stamina; Use arms, hands, and legs fully; Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks.
  • Stamina to perform this task repetitively and continuously for several hour intervals.
  • Uncontrolled environmental conditions: Constant change in weather and site conditions.
  • This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.).
  • Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.
  • May need to work at heights and must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements; must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights.
  • Evaluate information based on measurable standards; and see details in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings.
  • Visualize objects in three dimensions from drawings.
  • Keep good balance and work at heights.
  • See well (either naturally or with correction).
  • Hear well (either naturally or with correction.)
  • Coordinate the use of eyes, hands, and feet.

HOURS:

This position is a Full-Time position scheduled to work typically 50 hours per week. Schedule is subject to projects requirements.

TRAVEL:

Travel required up to 90%. Position requires presence directly on the Project Site location with intermittent travel to residence of record.
