Responsibilities: A typical day for a helper includes:
- Arriving at the warehouse in the morning.
- Checking with the Project Manager to see if any installers need assistance that day.
- If assistance is needed, the day will involve:
- Going to the project site with the installer.
- Setting up and preparing tools for the installer.
- Setting drop cloths and other protective elements in place.
- Handing tools to the installer as needed.
- Bagging and removing debris from the house during demolition.
- Cleaning the area while the installer works on plumbing.
- Preparing for the build-out or starting the build-out for the installer.
- Working ahead or behind the installer to speed up the process.
- Assisting with any tasks the installer needs during the project.
- Helping to clean up after the project.
- If no assistance is needed, the day will involve:
- Working around the warehouse.
- Receiving and organizing materials.
- Placing materials in their respective bins or areas for upcoming projects.
- Assisting with or performing service calls on past projects.
- Retrieving new shipments from the transportation terminal.
Additional Tasks:
Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.
- Capable of using hand tools, electric tools to build custom wooden shelving for panel storage.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or similar roles is a plus.
Opportunity for advancement as a bath installer for the right individual. Temporary Part-Time with the option to move to permanent Part-Time for the right person.
